About The Event

The Richmond Renaissance Dancers will present this multimedia program showcasing the majesty and elegance of court dancing from the perspective of Queen Elizabeth I and her courtiers. English almans and country dances, French branles, and Italian balli and cascarde were all part of the Elizabethan court repertoire. The Queen’s court will come alive once more through demonstrations of these late 16thcentury dances. Linda Macdonald, portraying Queen Elizabeth, will provide informative narrative and historical background, all within the beautiful surroundings of Agecroft Hall.

Fee: $10 per person, $7 for students
